Does anyone know of a video of someone catching BG on this rod?
I'm contemplating getting one to use primarily for casting 1/64 & 1/32 jigs for BG. I know the action is great for casting the jigs, but am a little concerned that it may be just a tad stiff for a dedicated BG rod.
I saw Alphahawk's excellent review of the rod, but haven't been able to find a video anywhere showing how much flex the rod has when catching average size BG.
Appreciate any info you may have?
Last I heard, the TSS is disc. from Leland. The tips were breaking very easily.
I just started looking at these rods so I may be totally wrong, but from what I can decipher, is that Leland discontinued the TSS name and either renamed it the TCB, or, created a new, very similar rod in conjuction with B N' M rods and still calling it TCB (as on B N' M's site). Still trying to figure this out actually as it's a bit confusing. But whatever the case, I think the rods may possibly use the same blank, if they are different rods at all.Quote:

They are made in two different factories....blank manufacturers are different. I find the rods virtually identical....in fighting a fish....rod weight is very few grams different. But that can vary by a few grams even on 500 dollar rods. One of the rods...and I do not remember which one...is 1/2 inch longer. Casting distance is exactly the same...I mean after doing many casts with each rod I am talking inches in casting difference. The guide train on the TSS rod is an American Tackle Air Guide Microwave. Supposed to increase casting distance but I have to tell you after owning several rods over the years with that system on it there is no added casting distance. They do greatly reduce line slap but that is about it as far as I am concerned. As to the breaking of the TSS rod tips.....yeah folks break them...not because the rod is bad...it is because folks trying to do things with a high graphite content rod that one should not be doing. I fully expect as more of the TCB rods get out there you will start hearing about the tips breaking on them too. The rod is a collaboration between Leland's Lures and B'n'M. The TSS rod is discontinued...for right now. It may or may not be back. I have no clue how many TCB rods have been sold. I don't have the numbers of TSS rods sold but it was a lot. In my opinion both rods are worth the money charged. I know I am fixin to get some more TCB rods to giveaway on my channel.

Thanks for the input Eagle 1. So, are you saying that both the current Leland & B n' M TCB rods do not feel the same as Leland's original TSS rod, or, that the current Leland TCB and B N' M TCB rods feel different from one another? Sorry if my question appears a bit anal, but this issue with these rods has me pretty confused.Quote:

I have hands that do not fit the handle as well as I like . Most likely because the split grips are different to what I used in the past . The B/m rod seemed to have a little faster tip as best I remembered . I am not bashing either rod and I do not use two lb. line or profess to be an authority on ultra light set ups . Lots of choices out there for sure and under 100.00 both are good . :twocents
No did not think you were bashing the rods. That whole deal came about as Leland's Lures owner told me...they are not a rod company and B'n'M is. Which makes total sense for marketing. Of course I know nothing about the lure business....but have heard from 2 individuals that are in the lure business say...."Want to make a million dollars selling lures....spend 2 million dollars".....LOL.Quote:
