I'm looking to buy a good set of scales for a gift. I'm looking at the Rapala Tournament Scales but I don't know whether the tournament guys prefer the 15 lb model or the 50. I also think the cam over clamp might be what I'm looking for over the one with the spring. Any thoughts?
Not sure on the best scale, but I would get a Accu Cull Mini Grip to use with the scale. Makes weighing fish super simple. Link to what I'm referring to/no affiliation with these guys, just where I picked mine up Accu Cull Mini Grip - Tackle Warehouse
If you only fish for crappie and only weigh fish individually then the 15# should do fine, I like to pull in a catfish on occasion so I have a 50# and a 110# so far I've only needed the 50#.Quote:
