I like to wade the creeks and streams in Southern Missouri, this time of year, for smallies. No waders needed. Just "creek shoes". It's a great way to stay cool on a hot day and catch fish

It is a fun time to fish these waters. Unfortunately on my warm water creek the water does have a fair amount of snot. I think I may need a small float, I’ll have to experiment. I also think small topwater plugs might be a good option this time of year. Nothing like a nice morning on the creek.
