CK First day with Live scope 6/30/2020
This morning get on the lake 8:00 expecting a great day like it was Christmas. Turn on monitor and after 30 seconds it would go dark. Tried rebooting and it kept doing same thing. After 30 minutes decided to go home and call Garmin support. While waiting on 30 minutes I decided to go online and read manual. I saw where it said to tap power button few times and brightness scale would come up and I adjusted brightness and bam no more 30 second going dark. About that time Gary from support came on and I told him what happen and my fix. He said sounded like the the monito for some reason had sense it was dark so it dimmed down. What I did was remove auto brightness and put into manual. Told Gary thanks and decide to go back on Wylie. Got on Wylie about 11:00 First brush spent more on getting use to it and fiddling around with settings. No crappie.
Went to second brush pile and caught about 12. two more spots and ended with 20 crappie. Dont worry no Crappie were hurt I released them all. 2:00 had enough with the big waves from big boats decided to leave.
I had more fun playing with the crappie than the catching. I watch the jig fall to them 5 or 6 crappie would rush up to meet the jig and as it passed the crappie would go back down to follow jig. Also watching them move off of brush to chase the jig. All in All was a lot of fun watching the crappie react to jig. Last spot was in 37 feet and I was catching crappie at about 35 feet. Very educational with entertainment. Looks like I should be releasing lot more crappie because I only keep what family can eat. Freezer now has plenty.
Just over 12 inch. Most caught were in the 9 to 10 inch range.
