Day 2
Today was a total blast. I fished differently than yesterday. The cattails extend 12 to 15 feet from the bank in most places around the shore. I used my 9 ft Southern Crappie and my 12 ft BnM to drop trout magnets into the openings of the cattails. Holy cow it barely hit the water and "fish on". In about 2 hours we boated and released an estimated 50 8 1/2 to 10" gills. It made this old man smile and I haven't done that in quite some time. :biggrin

10 inch Gills in public waters are hard to come by down here. Congratulations on the catches!

Sounds like a great day fishing

Wow, what a day, and as said above on public waters! Fish and smile on!

I have never been a picture taker but I do occasionally. I will try to get some posted from future trips.

Good deal, a great day for sure.

Let me clarify please. This body of water is privately owned but anybody and everybody goes there to fish with permission or not. Mostly not. So I guess it is semi-public [emoji16]
