We all know the prices of trolling motors and electronics is very expensive. I don't know about everyone else to pay cash for their purchase but it is hard for me. I like to tell anyone that's in the market for trolling motor or some type of electronics go to E-Bay there is some of the dealers will do a 24 month payment plan through Paypal. This is the route I had to take hope it helps somebody.

Amazon has some 12 and 24 month zero percent financing when you use the Amazon credit card. Doesn't hurt to take advantage of free loans. I would watch the fees and interest rates so you don't get screwed.
I forgot to mention the Paypal is interest free.

Just remember, it will be hard to correct issues down the road if you buy that way... For equipment that is in a very high price range, I had the best luck doing business locally and getting a signature loan if needed. Just a suggestion.:cheers2
I bought my XI 5 locally and had the foot peddle go out a month before the warranty expired... That was a $200.00 savings... And they gave me a loner until mine came in. You wont get that from Amazon! Oh yea, price of the motor was the same and got a trade in for my old motor, and got the new one installed for free.
Longhunter I don't understand what you are talking about. If u buy from any dealer then something happens to purchase it has to go to a service dealer and not back to the dealer

I recently purchased a 24 volt powerdrive riptide and the second time i used it the turning motor quit. This is an example of the few extra dollars that it cost to buy local saved me money and time. Had i bought it online i would have had to box it up and sent it back for service and i am sure that it would not ship cheap and the turnaround time would have been longer than the 3 days it took for my dealer to repair. I might mention that i did buy it from a store that does all the minn kota warranty work/installs in the area even for the bigger store such as Bass Pro.

Are y'all saying that if I bought a Minn Kota motor from Brian at BBG electronics or shut-up-and-fish which are hundreds of miles from me that if I had a problem with the motor while under warranty that I would have to send it back. That's is not correct.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. The dealer I shop with is the repair shop as well. They gave me one to use while they were waiting on the new one to be delivered. The foot control was still under warranty, they decided to have a new one sent in instead of fixing the old one... Hope that cleared it up. Doesn't matter to me who ya'll buy from, I was just adding information to the conversation. I'm out
You wouldnt have to send it back if there was a warranty repair center close enough to drive to but if not how else would it be repaired under warranty? I like Brian, i have bought several items from him. I will probably buy more in the future. I just chose to buy my motor from the repair source in case there was an issue with my motor. It may also help me to get to the front of the line in the case of a repair.
