Well had a good mail today. Received my new Diawa Whisker SS 700. I have a 20 year old one that is my favorite UL. I have actually landed 7# steelhead with it. Drag is amazing. New ones are now made in Thailand so I was unsure of the build but from examining it looks as good as the original JDM build.

I've got one that is at least 30yrs old. Has been used on Detroit river, for spring walleye :fish.

It does have an anti reverse. Now I'm hoping the replacement TM TSS that USPS broke arrives today or tomorrow.
