LOZ 5-19-20

I was out early and bass fished for a few hours with not much to report besides small fish and a gar that almost got away with my favorite jerkbait. Fortunately I just bought some long pliers and got it back. I trolled crankbaits for a few hours all over the Gravois and only caught 5 crappie and a few white bass. The spring fishing continues to be terrible for me. I also caught an 18 pound blue that drew a small crowd by land and water because it took probably 10 minutes to get in with a 10 foot jigging pole and 10 pound braid. I guess all together that's a lot of meat; however I threw everything back.Attachment 375905

Sounds like a fun day. You got me beat. Caught a six pound channel cat today on my 12 foot pole.
