Slab has the right idea !

I have a confession to make. Many times I find myself wanting to say more than I do on certain topics but am restrained from doing so because of two things. One, peace is blessed, and two, Slab has control of a delete button and is not afraid to use it. Seriously, if you want to see the wisdom in that last sentence, look no further than this debacle on another forum:

After reading that I came away with thankful feelings about living in the South where I can fish year round, my governor having some semblance of wisdom, and a fishing site ( C.com ) for the most part devoid of rancor. Yes, we all have opinions and sometimes want to say more than we should, but it is a real blessing to not have the viciousness seen elsewhere.

That was an interesting read that went much further than it ever had to. It was some pretty bad trolling. The mods definitely were letting things go - keep it civil - agree to disagree when necessary.

Thanks USMA for your kind words. Yes, we may be overly sensitive to some things here, but we have been doing this a while now. As I often say, all we're trying to do is keep the peace. If anyone wants to talk about all that controversial stuff, there are plenty of other places on the Internet to do so. It's nice to have our little safe haven here on crappie.com. Our little escape from all the garbage! ...Another thing I always say is, "Why make enemies when you can make friends instead". Another yet another thing I always say is "It's all G's fault"! "G", the other mods and supermods, and all are members are what make crappie.com what it is today. Thank you all for your participation, and your understanding.

And on another note, anyone notice all those ads on the walleye site. Gee, thank goodness we don't do that here, that's an awfully lot of noise.

People keep yammering on about some corona beer virus and codependent-19 and how the CDC has all sorts of information, but I can't find any info on here about either one. :mad:

Well, I read through the entire thread. I had to come back here for a breath of fresh air!

This has to the best website online. Last week my daughter and grand kids were over for a visit. I had been reading some of the old funny post so I went back to one I wanted her to read. Went I handed her my computer my 9 year old twin grandsons started to look. She covered the screen, I ask why her answer was “you never know what might be on here”. She was totally surprised when I explained that C.com is totally family oriented and that the boys could read the post. As they all 3 read the post there was a lot of laughter. Thanks to SLAB and the other mods for keeping it this way.
