Nice catch, no Gills? They are good eating also, and fight just as hard.
It was odd, I just couldn't connect with many. I believe I caught two and they were simply small fish. I should be able to catch a basket of gills in the 8in range very, very soon.Quote:

Those are beauties. I've never targeted shellcrackers, just catch the occasional one incidental to bluegill. There is a local lake where I know the shellcrackers spawn in different places than the bluegill by and large, but I can't get to those places without a boat - yet:pray.
