While running the unit in side scan, why would the right side suddenly be dark? The motor is on the left, so it’s not blocking it. If I do the left/right flip, then the left side is dark. This also happens in Simulation mode. After trailering, the level seemed to be off by just a fraction, could that cause it? Transducer going bad? This is the Totalscan transducer.
If it doesn't work in simulation mode, something is wrong. Can you reset to factory defaults?
Otherwise I would guess to check xducer level. Remember the driver is added weight on the right side so could affect it.
Mystery solved. Transducer is cracked.
Is the transducer repairable?
I have sealed the cracks with marine silicone. I haven’t tested it, but my expectations are pretty low.Quote:
