Last week we made a quick trip to Stockton - in planning the trip I reached out thru private message to a few of the Missouri crappie.com regulars and they were very helpful. Thanks guys
While our orginal plan was to stay a week and fish stockton and trumann - our trip was cut short - was only able to fish a day and half. We were disappointed because we looked forward to meeting some of you guys in this area. Since all of the state parks and corp. campgrounds were closed we took a chance on a private rv park (red cedar) and was pleasantly surprised it was pretty nice. As I was pulling the fish out of the live well and putting them into a cooler - it drew a pretty good crowd - one of the guys said he had not had a mess of crappie since his brother died several years ago. So we gave him the fish. He was so excited to get the fish and really appreciated it.
