Venting again!!!!
I know I tell everybody my problems; probably too often. But, I can use any advice I can get right now.
DHHS has my grandkids after months of me, my wife, neighbors, school, etc reporting conditions in their house. Now they are acting like they don't even know me. And probably so. My wife and I have just been handed off by the 4th person that is suposedly on the case. We have been handed off this time because of the "type" of custody we have requested?????
Has anybody else on this board gone through this? I am lost dealing with all of theis buacracy and bull hockey. It is like the system is only providing jobs to those that have completely forgoten about three little kids that have been placed in strangers homes when those they know and love continually go through frustrations trying to care for them.

DP. if you like I can give you my mothers phone number and let you talk to her. You might gleen some info from her. She retired from the state as an adoption specialist and for some dumb reason went back to work this year with DHS doing something, but not as an adoption specialist. Shoot me a PM if you like, I'll give you her home phone. Though you have to realize state employees protect each other for the good of the dept.

I have a ton of things I could say as an ole garhead but no doubt it would not help. Hang in there brother and the only thing I can advise is "act upon what you KNOW is RIGHT" no matter how difficult it may be. It might not turn out the way you want it to but you will know you did the "righteous" thing!!!

Get a Lawyer. The only thing DHHS, DHFS, & DCFS understand is a lawsuit.
They have the power of the state, you must sue the state(.)
Their intrest is not in the children or parties involved but the money that they can make dragging your grandkids through the system.
I think in time we will see more episodes like Columbine, OK Fed., etc if these states don't get their acts together.
The people are FED up, pun intended.

Keep it together and good luck. The advice of a lawyer would be my guess. Hope you can get this resolved quickly for the kids sake.

Being that I work for the state, I would have to say that the problem is that if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Wish I could help you out for the kids sake.
