My boys and I were out there later in the day, around 7pm the bite picked up and it was on. We fished off the dam and in about 30 mins we put 25 fish in the basket. It was good for my sons to actually see what it looks like when the bite is fair. I really wish I had my boat because we could see boils of bait fish and they were just out of casting distance.

Nothing like taking the boys out fishing, catching a nice mess and having a fish fry with fresh caught fish. Congrats.
Would have been much better report if we could see your boys holding up some crappie and their smiles! sounds like you had a great day with your sons and there is nothing better than that.
