Kids Ketchn
Mom wanted time alone , home school and quarantine is getting the best of her about right about now and of course on Mothers Day we do what mom wants . So off we went and I am still in somewhat of a shock . I said hey lets go ketch fish and the kid was like no thanks dad
..then a bit later as we went about town.....
My daughter said sure dad lets go to the park and try to ketch a fish . :yikes
You see she really don't like to ketch fish much and says its boring and pretty much always says no ...like 99.9% of the time .
So off we went to a nearby creek and she asked if we had tackle and I said YES
she asked if we had bait and I said YES
she asked if we would ketch fish and I said YES
and so it began , we stopped at an ankle deep creek and found a 2 foot deep hole under a little bridge and caught said little fisheez
...:Rofl
I helped her thru the first 5 or 6 by casting and setting the hook as it was tight quarters and putting it in a bush aint to fun . But later she insisted she wanted to do all of it herself and sure enough she casted and missed about 2 or 3 good float down bites but about on number 4 float down
.FISH ON !
Now I am not kidding on this , she managed the best green sunfish I saw in that creek and it was larger than the bluegill and longears she reeled in as well .
Best part of the episode is at bedtime when I tuck her in she says
..

Great post and story. I have two girls and they still, now in their 30’s, talk about the trips we had together. Good Job Daddy, and of course, KABOOM!!
