9 Gills is the perfect size mess for eating. Catch a pile, keep a few, release the rest and all non targeted species for sure. Danged old Drum and Whisker fish can stay off my TM!

Nice catch on such small jigheads ! Just goes to show ya - many species hit the same lure types much of the time.
Thanks much for showing your catch in picture form. It's instructive in many ways and gives some anglers something to think about and questions to ask when it comes to lures.
Keep at it.

Those trout magnets will get it done some days

This will be my first season using TM's. Looks very promising!

Now THAT’S a variety on one bait. The TM is sure versatile. Thanks for the photos

This will be year #2 for me using trout magnets, my main bluegill areas are rocky dams and rip rap and I use small floats weighted if necessary. Tipped with a tiny worm chunk or a crappie nibble. Wanting 8" and bigger gills but I end up catching multiple sometimes BIG species. Fish love big rocks - full of tiny green sunfish, crawdads, etc. After this cool spell and the water gets around 70 and warmer and if it dont flood the big gill ketchn should be excellent.Attachment 374870Attachment 374871

nice mess..Is that the trout magnet jig or the crappie magnet jig you are using..We use the trout magnet in small ponds and lakes and do really well with them tipped with a crappie nibble..
