I’d try another lake or a different technique, but I fished today vertical and only caught 6. So maybe someone with better results can advise. What you say BrettW??

The blacks were all but through around the first/second week in April and I'd suspect the whites are done by now too (Clark Hill Lake). I haven't been in a couple weeks though.
I have been catching crappie in 18 to 25 fow the last two weeks or so on Greenwood.

This year it seemed to happen pretty quick (mid March). I would say 95% of the fish are done with black crappie and white. You will come across one that is really late and got eggs but it is rare this point. 10-15 ft seems to be the sweet spot for the bigger fish near where they spawned right now. (Docks and open water) Hope this helps!
