Anybody know what this last rain has done to water conditions at Green?
COE chart says it came up ~3ft overnight, if that tells you anything. Slabeye & I found mixed water colors around the Holmes Bend area, with a slightly clearer water color downstream from there, but I'm guessing a 3ft overnight rise has pushed that water on down towards the dam. The dam is pulling at 3300cfs but the water is coming in (or was) at nearly 18000cfs.
As of 1:00PM today the Lake Levels website has the water at 4.15' over Summer Pool ... Just an FYI.
Well, it rained at least 3" probably more here yesterday. I have not seen it but was told the muddy was at fishers bend yesterday after noon. I will find out more later and will post what i find out.
Sounds like tomorrow is out of the question. It's about the same here on Fishing Creek. Water has come up quickly, and the upper end from Pulaski County Park to the Parkway Bridge is pretty muddy.
I bet it’ll come up at least 5 ft by tomorrow.

Pappy, what was the water temp when you and Slabeye were there? I am sure it has changed though with all the cold rain.
I remember seeing 68 degree water but that was later in the day.
Yeah, I noticed the water temps ranging from 66-68deg on Rodney's depthfinder ... and remember wondering why the fish were out in such deep water with the temps that high. :dono
It struck me even more when I got to cleaning the fish and saw the egg sacs ... many of which were starting to get mushy, but not quite "runny". This weather (rains/cold) seems to have them a couple of weeks behind schedule on spawning, so hopefully there'll still be some males hanging around the banks & making nests after the water gets back to normal and the water temps don't get too high. If not, I fear this year's spawn will be a bust on Green. :bash
