Cedar Creek
Took minnows and fished it 2 weeks ago for 8hrs and had only 1 6" crappie, lots of bass and bluegill but only 1 crappie. Went back today to bass fish and 10 minutes into the day and I could not stand it put the bass rods up and got out a crappie rod and started throwing jigs.Had 11 nice crappie (biggest was 15") and 4 nice bluegill all caught in 6fow 4 feet deep. They were caught on Bass Assassin Crystal shad and Salt&Pepper Silver Phantom with the tip of the tail dipped in Spike It chartreuse . Now at the age of 60 does this mean I am minamorphizing in to a crappie fishermen and a Live scope could be in my future.lol Water was 62 with a slight stain. Fished from 6am to noon.

LOL ... nah, that's just the nature of Cedar Creek. :biggrin But, good job on figuring them out and catching a mess. :HandsClapping
And don't tell me if you get a LS that you won't use it just as much (if not more) to track down them Basses and drop a worm in their face !! :Rofl
I used to could go down there and sling a jig or Road Runner and wear out the Crappie. Problem was they weren't big enough to keep back then. Last few times I've been there, since they took the size limit off, I can't seem to catch any. :scratchhead In fact, I quit going there some years ago because of that.

Lake is full of them but they see about 25,000 minnows and jigs per fish a day ......makes them tough to fool......Ive had best luck in the summer under the lights.

That’s still less hooks each fish sees daily in taylorsville lol

Which green light do you use if it is OK to ask?
