Need help finding reel parts

Since I am retiring in a few months, I am going to get back into fishing after a 30 year layoff.

I am currently rebuilding an old boat and refurbishing my old tackle.

The problem is I have a probably 30 year old Lew"s Speed Spin 1 reel that somehow down through the years I lost the spool
and drag assembly. I guess it's just nostalgia, but I would like to get this reel operational again.

I have sent Lew's an email, no response yet. And searched through Ebay, with no results. So any help with a parts source or alternate parts would be appreciated.

If I've been out of the game for thirty years, though, I wouldn't let finding old reel parts hold me back. There are a lot of great reels on the market now.

Oh I am not going to let it stop me.... I could probably buy a new reel for less than repairing the old one, but being an old industrial maintenance man I enjoy repairing things. By the time I get through with this old boat I could probably buy a new one....LOL. Thanks for your help

Your not lying with that statement!!! My boat rehab is currently $29 under budget. Problem is, I still need to get some big ticket items!
However, I am enjoying it.
