Looks like a red ear crossed with another fish species.
I've caught some that looked like that. I just assumed it was a redear with a bit more yellow in it.
It looks like it has some green sunfish in it.

I'm thinking his Momma and Daddy did a little straying from their bloodlines.
I does have an unusual coloration
I agree with you guys.... looks like a redear/Pumpkinseed mix. Anyways, thought I'd share for all to enjoy!
