Slow day water temp had dropped . All released today , a boat load of kids pulled up as I was weighing them and turning them back .They tried to snap a photo but I tossed them back too fast . Biggest 7 was 12.94 today and all released to give someone else the chance to catch them . Same Purple/Chartreuse jigs and 13' Phantom live scope rod .

Slow day buy still fun
We need the supreme genetics of the big fish to go back in whether they're just lucky or there is actually something to it. Kudo's for those who keep what they need and release what they dont.
I have mixed thoughts on this now and days. I bass fish a lot, big supporter of Catch and release, I tournament fish some. And the way of bass fishing has been Catch and release for quite some time now. It is really starting to negative impacts on some lakes now. Just last week seen a article by AGFC all but begging people to keep smaller fish from Lake Brewer. D10 and I have talked more than once about the bass density being high on Lake Conway as well. Strong spawns and Catch and release practices, are what I attribute to being the issue. I am sure there are more lakes with the same issue. I don't think it is to far fetched for this same thing happen to crappie. Which will lead to density issues and stunted growth. Just my Opinion. I am by no means educated in the subject, just opinionated you might say.
Lakes with high populations and slow growth need some harvest but a few lakes with fast growth and lots of pressure won't hurt .Quote:
