Has anyone else delayed buying Livescope until they get the updates right? I want one bad but there's been a lot of bad press on the updates. I know Garmin will get it done and I will buy it.

Yes, we are thinking alike. I will purchase one if Garmin ever gets the software corrected and has another rebate. Hope they don’t take to long.[emoji235]

I was thinking about that today .... but, what about the units that are still in the stores and still have the old software version ?? They don't recall them and update them, they let you do the updates. Still, you'd have to know what update the unit has ... so is it on the package or paperwork ?? We know what update screwed things up, so if the update numbers are lower than those the unit should be good to go ... shouldn't it ? :dono
Buy the unit and get to using it. They worked fine before the update. Nothing forces you to do the update that caused the problem. Wait until they get it fixed and you see lots of reports that it works then update if you want.

Well, tell all the fish I've been putting in the boat that my Livescope software isn't working right. Oh wait, they can't hear you from inside the freezer. 2.30 had reduced gain and I had to tweak my settings, 2.33 is back where they were. You can wait if you want to. I just bought another whole PLS + 102sv setup for my kayak.
