And the WIND BLEW
Despite the 25-30 mph wind, my grandson and I managed to have a nice day together on the lake and even caught a few good Crappies. The bite was slow but Justin managed to stick a hook in a “paper mouth” on his second cast. The nice 11”+ decided she was not going to get in the boat with us and shook the hook out.
Since the bite was so slow I dipped my pink and white jig right down the tightest cover I could find and B A M
Ms. Crappie hit it hard. ONLY CAUGHT 3 out of the brush, but they all were real nice.
Water temp. 58 degrees
6-7 FOW Jigging at 4’
Lake location: South of Riverview

Nice fish great day with Grandson, went to local lake today and crappie and bluegill were hitting good, caught 12-15 nice crappie and a bunch of med bluegill.. gave crappie to a guy and his son who were keeping fish, they had a 5 gallon bucket full of crappie and gills.
Caught them anywhere from 4 ft deep up to 2 ft deep, deepest water was 6ft deep, hitting 1/64oz jig with small minnow body under bobber.. probably could of caught twice as many but wind was blowing so hard bobber looked like it was skiing:)
