Oreo's + 6 pack = Good Friday!
I know Oreo's + Milk = Snack time! Nope, not that formula:Rofl...yesterday's Good Friday trip with Pontoon Pappy yielded, yet again..."stuff":yikes
15-20 knot winds were forecasted for the day's adventure but neither of us waivered from plan. :banghead Even though throughout the day's wind build/direction change, our levelheaded(me anyway, lol) competence would be questioned many times.nonono Back to Post Title- Oreo's(Oreochromis Aureus aka Blue Tilapia) + 6 Pack(pics) = Good Friday!!rotfl Long-lining non-baited artificials was technique used with measurable results enjoyed by Captain & mate.
Impressive catfish, Gar, Specks, Stud bluegills, striper all fell victim to the often changed out arsenal of color/size/boat speed. One particular area we fished, after several unsuccessful, clockwise trolling patterns, I suggested to PP to try same area but in counter-clockwise mode. BINGO!! Game on, including the 1st Blue Tilapia!! I can best describe this 5.1 lb. specimen's attitude as Mike Tyson on steroids! Truly magnificent, unrelenting battle from start to end. Much like but even more than my many Smallmouth bass encounters up North. Thanks again Captain Don, another for the books! Everyone have a safe Happy Easter, go out and get some "groceries" next week. Enjoy the pics-
