Fuel prices - good or Bad

Watching the President talk about reductions in production got me thinking .... You can not get Alcohol, Hand sanitizer, and Germ Killers with Alcohol in it because of the Virus .... I am sure all the Green People would jump up and down but all the storage for fuel is starting to be full ---- fuel with 10 % Ethanol.... take that junk out during the crisis .. Why ??? for half my life Diesel and Kerosene were the cheapest and easiest to get in the refinery process to make Gasoline --- which brings me to Diesel -- The cost of this fuel is still too high because the need of the Trucking industry is still meeting the needs of our country... getting that fuel still requires making Gasoline.... Almost every Vehicle our Government uses for the Military uses Diesel. Our country and the world this fuel is important in our lives even if we don't use it at home. So at the cost of continued adding Ethanol to Gasoline , we are unable to make more Diesel -- in turn -- it makes that Fuel price higher. the President said our Carbon Footprint is lower than ever... who in Government is willing to step up, and say Enough --- even if it is temporary

I believe FOL is saying, if we quit putting ethanol [made from corn] in the E10 gas for a while.
it would allow us to make more actual gasoline, which would yield more diesel.
I agree 100% FOL.

My truck is 12 yrs old, I put non ethanol fuel when possible which is 90% of the time....

After rereading his post, I think his point is that if we stopped using alcohol in gas we would have more to produce more hand sanitizer and those kinds of products that are in short supply at this time because of production capacity.

Also I know the post is sort of Confusing -- it is talking about three things at the same time that are all related... I know we are all trying to do our part,,, it seems to me that some things could be better ---- including the heading for this topic --- Fuel prices was not exactly what was running around in my Gourd

And, it would be an excellent chance to beat the farmers up some more. If we run out of food, there won't be any truckers and we won't
need any sanitizers.

As for hand sanitizer, feesh slime works for me.
