Garden plants and seed
I have ordered my vegetable garden needs from 3 different places. All have told me that the unusually large amount of orders has slowed shipping and reduce available supply to "sold out" status. Plus they have reduced the amount of employees working each day in efforts to keep them safe. This kung flu has no boundaries to what part of life it will complicate.

That certainly is the truth. Might not be a bad idea to have a garden this year

I've read that also about the seed sales. We have onions, kale, collard greens, broccoli & cauliflower planted. And the tomato seeds are about 2 inches tall under lights. Fishing & gardening is pretty much what I do now in retirement. :biggrin

I have mustard greens, bell peppers, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and jalapenos planted, then the straw berry beds
-
I have nothing planted. Here in central Illinois the soil temp is only 50° .
-
Here in Tennessee it has been a early spring. Had a few 80 degree days
-
And tonight you will have frost in TN. Was 90° here in LA Yesterday.

Gardening is a way of life. Those who have run out to buy seeds without knowing jack about gardening are in for a big surprise. It's not as easy as some politician said a while back, dig a hole, drop in a seed, water, and there you have it. Good luck to them I hope they have not wasted their money or some good seed.

Royal Burgundy, is very hardy purple bean. They are very good, eating them right after picking, or cooked. Both the veins and beans are purple in color. It's the only bean we plant. Good for freezing too. I want to share this link.
