Upper Pennisula?
I've been Grouse hunting in the western U.P. for several years now. I've been thinking of planning a fishing trip up there when all this virus stuff calms down. What would be a good month or time frame for the better fishing? Interested in Walleye, Crappie and Yellow Perch.

Really depends on where you plan on going and the possible timeframe. Mid to late June through July can be great for walleye and perch in Little Bay. Then they move to deeper water accessible from Escanaba. If you have a bigger boat, Big Bay is better in late summer. Inland lakes really don't pick up until late May or early June depending on how bad or long the winter is/was.

Wife and I used to go to Gladstone, for Memorial Day holiday. We did ok on the perch and eyes, no clue on crappie. good times

Ottawa Lake SW of Iron River has a good perch population as well as some giant smallmouth. The bass are catch and release only due to an invasion of rusty crayfish. There are rockbass and I believe trout, too. We fished it in August.

Some years back we made a trip to the Little Bay de Noc on NW Lake Michigan. We took our own boats and rented a cottage at the Vagabond Resort. We were there the first week of June and had great results with walleye on eels and crawlers, while only losing one day to a bad weather front. There were numerous lodging options around the Noc. Yellow Perch had tapered off before we arrived that year. A friend of mines’ cousin goes somewhere East of St. Ingles. Good luck.

I grew up on the Garden Peninsula which is the East border of Big Bay de Noc, lots of good fishing there other than crappie.
You got some great tips on places to go UP there, only thing I can add to it is a friend of mine did really well Crappie fishing over by Watersmeet on a small lake he wouldn’t tell me the name of.
If I were to pick one area, and I’m a little biased ...... I’d fish both Little and Big Bays de Noc.
Enjoy it UP there in Gods Country!

Thanks for the info, When we are Grouse hunting up there we stay in a town called Paulding, it's real close to Watersmeet. Im thinking of that area again but IDK for sure.
