Good evening. I fished lemon today for about 3 hours. The bite was slow and soft. My FF said water temp was 57°. That seems to warm to me. It felt much colder. Has anyone else been out in the southern part of the state? If so, post your temps please....

That sounds about right. We had 52-54 degrees up at Morse reservoir yesterday. Less than a foot visibility, but managed a few for our efforts.
I was on Lemon today as well. I had 56 degree water. Bite was slow and very light. I had to leave at 1pm. Felt they were gonna turn on later in the day. Son and I caught 25. Kept 12

Was on Lemon yesterday too, temps were 56-59 depending on what end of the lake you were on. Caught a few in main lake brush late in the day. The lake was crowded as could be, the overflow lot was full. Makes a guy wonder how much pressure such a small lake can take before it starts to impact the quality...
It was so crowded last Thursday, only time I am going back is when the weather sucks. People are nuts to kayak and canoe across and the middle of lemon with All the power boats screaming back and forth. Worse than Caddy Shack. I went to Patoka Sunday and the bite was light, nothing on cranks, and tons of small crappie if pulling jigs. If you went to West Boggs, try over 100 boats crammed in a 600 acre lake and the Conservancy is allowing camping at the park. Pay on a honor system. west Boggs is,all about Miney and screw the corona virus. Best temp at Patoka is 62.
Lemon has lost its majority of crappie. I used to catch quite a few over 15” but not anymore. You might catch one or 2 but it’s because of the fishing pressure especially last year when all the other lakes were flooded through July and Lemon wasn’t. It was hammered last year all year long. How much pressure can a shallow 2000 acre lake take? Your seeing it. This year, 7 days a week, crammed as once again several lakes are experiencing high and muddy water. With everybody stuck off work and at home, your seeing young people with all the kids and I even saw one young mom put a baby in the car seat in the bass boat and that baby couldn’t have been 6-8 months old. Canoes, kayaks, small 10 and 12’ boats overloaded. It is a absolute zoo. Don’t expect the fishing to last as it is not Going to. Eventually I’m thinking the State will shut us all down. I have been having issues with this Mega 360 and past couple of days been trying different setups recommended by Humminbird Tech support. Went over to West Boggs today, paid the 16.00 launch fee, launched and idled over to a dock and tied up and put the Mega 360 thru different scenarios trying to get the wet switches on it activated for over 3 hrs. Must have been 30-40 boats take out while same amount put in..I wouldn’t fish that lake if they paid me. :Rofl HB called me and I am going to send the Mega 360 back to them and they are going to send me a new one when we get over this lockdown. Anywhere ya go right now is a absolute zoo! :cheers2
