Livescope Stimulus
Sooo all this downtime has me researching Livescope and contemplating purchasing it. I know technology changes very fast so looking at year old threads could be outdated.
Im a lowrance guy so very foreign to Garmin- that being said, what would be a good Livescope Graph Combo to combine with my 2 lowrance units. Maybe best bang for my buck. Id use it to predominately fish crappie on brush piles. Any good deals out there at this time??
Thanks in advance for any help!

You have until 4/12 to get the $200 rebate on LS. Hurry!
I have the 93sv plus graph and it works fine. I have it on a seat pedestal to get it up to my eyes. You should be able to land a bundle for $2k. Budget another $250 at least for mounts, transducer pole, install accessories. And then enjoy! You will catch more fish simply by saving time. Attachment 371146Attachment 371147Attachment 371148

I too have Lowrance HDS units. Was thinking about the livescope as well. I haven't figured them out very well and reluctant to drop 3000 in additional electronics. But, the livescope is on my mind.

I have two humminbird 10's in my boat. I purchased the Garmin 94 sv for live scope. I made my own pole for L/S head and only use the Garmin for that, i have a 10 at console and up front. Best money i have ever spent on fishing.

I wonder if the 93SV will work on a Minn Kota Maxxum 101 with the US2 built in transducer instead of using the one that comes with the unit ?

Muskyman that wont work..have to use the garmin transducer. Livescope transducer run to a box (like lowrance). The tranducer goes on the shaft (or that is where mine is) so it will not interfer with your other fish finder.

I bought the LS from Brian at BBG Marine. The Garmin units are a bit more complicated than HB with all the different units so he was a big help in getting me what I needed. I ended up going with the 1022 chart plotter, head unit only. Recommend you call him and see what he has to say.

I run Humminbird along with Livescope. I initially bought the 93 sv+ unit to save money but it did not produce the images I was seeing with the more expensive units. I finally upgraded to the 126 unit. There is a world of difference between the 93 sv + and the more expensive units, due to processing power. I would go with the best display unit you can afford.
I would suggest you find somebody with the 93 +sv display unit and somebody with the 10x display unit and compare them before you make a final decision. I wish I had as it would have saved me some money. Unless, of course, you want to end up with a ls unit at the console as well as the bow. I didn't but now have one to place on the console. :(

I'll just have to keep on fishing with Humminbird 7 mega SI. As my age and budge will not let me spend that kind of money. Enjoy while you are young as it doesn't get any better. The 70's & 80's health has had a big effect on me.

TheDudeAbides, Your mount gives me a great idea. Thanks for sharing. I have a plastic access cap I keep meaning to replace and this would be perfect for mounting my depth finder higher, but also mount my cup holder to as well. May have to cut it down slightly, but I have most of this laying around the garage. Thanks for sharing
