Hi all. I believe now is the time to catch stripe running. Can anyone recommend where to go in N. AL to make it happen?

Smith lake if you want to catch some big ones. They should be in the middle to backs of creeks chasing shad. Ride around until you find them busting in the mornings then chase them around in the creeks. I throw top water, big swim baits, and crankbaits. My favorite creeks to fish are Rock, Crooked, and White Oak. 2 years ago I caught a 38lb stripe on smith.
Below most of the dams right now. Neely Henry was hot a couple of weeks ago. Haven't talked to anyone lately

I think I am going to try below Guntersville dam tomorrow. Where is the nearest ramp. Also, what should I use?
There are ramps on the north and south sides of Wheeler Lake at Guntersville Dam.
There are some monsters in the Warrior/Sipsey River below Smith Lake dam as well. I’ve never been able to get the ones near the trout fishery to bite anything I throw though.
