Please Give Blood

Life South, the organization responsible for procuring bank blood in many Southern state, is experiencing donor downturn! This is a natural occurrence due to Coronavirus fears! LS has implemented new rules to insure sterility and safety when donating blood! Our loved ones are still going to need certain emergency surgeries and ER trauma visits! If you are healthy and able, please consider donating blood, especially if you are O- or O+ . It could be a friend or family member you are helping to save!

A question on that. I do give blood regularly and I am O+ with cmv. If I give blood will my blood be tested for the virus?

Was just told by blood bank, they check your temp and ask general health questions. No Coronavirus test, not needed. Cannot survive outside body for more than the holding time of bank blood.

0+ gave monday at my church. wouldn't take wife's because her iron was low so she is taking tablets now so she can and she's same type.
