I tried it once. Bottom line is - It didn't work.
we used to do that with white perch to stay with school when I was a kid, we used to hook them with the balloon attached
Yes, about 50 years ago. And old man told me about this. Tried it a couple of times with little success.Quote:

The two times I tried it, we were drift fishing for crappie and the balloon just stayed with the boat.
That's desperate but if you don't want to find them yourself then I guess it might work! :Rofl I have heard it but never tried it.:dono
