Anyone willing to share some color combos that have been successful for you? I have never fished for white bass and I am going to give it a whirl just need to hit the vise a bit... any help would be appreciated...

I really have not used any flies for crappie, but I have tied a lot of them. Here are my copy of the Crappie Candy Fly!
I have 4 colors here and think they probably would work for White Bass as well, but I don't know this for sure!
If you need the recipe just let me know and I will supply a link. I also have the Body material. It's Danville FL Wool.

What little experience I have with them, I found they wanted something somewhat natural looking and moving. A small spoon moving quick was smacked like they hated it. Hopefully someone with a bit more background will pipe up and give ya the skinny.
The white bass that I have caught seem to like white plastics on a jig.
ClearCreek
A white or white and shad grey Clouser is probably the best choice. I'd tie it with heavy eyes so you can strip it fast and keep it deep enough.

I fish the whitebass spawn every year and you can catch them with the same flies/jigs you would use for crappie. White clousers and streamers are deadly on them. They are up the creeks this time of year so I use a 3wt fly rod. They are a blast to catch.
Also Myakka Minnows in white or chartreuse. Also Cypert’s Super Minnow.
