Any opinions on the comparison of these two rods? I'm leaning toward the 7'6" UL Eagle, but I like the write ups on the Leland rods as well.
Or, if there is another comparable UL that you are familiar with in the 7' - 8' length.
Thanks Folks! :)

I had a Fenwick 2 piece light spinning rod about 40 years ago. I loved that rod. I had a DAM Quick 220N on it. Caught a bunch of stream trout near Lake Tahoe. I know that doesn't help you much with your decision but... If you get a Fenwick, let me know how you like it. I may just have to get a new one.
Of course the TCB rod only comes on 6' 5" model. But it is far more sensitive than the Fenwick Eagle. The TCB rod weighs a mere 2.4 ounces...a comparable 6' 5" Eagle rod weighs in at 4.85 ounces and the 7 foot UL Eagle weighs in at 3.84 ounces. I know a lot of folks who fish with high end JDM rods..myself included...use the TCB rod when going down a tree lined river or creek not wanting to risk breaking a JDM rod yet still want as much sensitivity as they can get for the money.

Both are great rods, I lean toward Fenwick. My 2cts
I am just curious. I currently fish with the 6.5 fr Fenwick Silver Hawk. I like the fast action as opposed to a softer rod like a Bass Pro Microlite. What type of action does the Leland’s TCB have?

Check out the video at the 9:43 mark to see the bending curve of the rod...it is fast action. The TCB rod was designed with JDM type UL rods in mind.

The Fenwick Silver Hawk rods were pretty good, but unfortunately they were made exclusively for Cabele's. With the Bass Pro Shop - Cabela's "merger" I was told (by a Cabela's employee) that the Silver Hawk rods were discontinued. Actually, I think all the Cabela's branded rods (Prodigy, Fish Eagle, Tourney Trail, etc.) are going to be, or have already been, discontinued. The same with Cabela's branded reels.

I wondered why we could not get them anymore
Thanks

I just bought a 5’6” fenwick eagle and it is fast becoming one of my favorites, a great rod for the money. Handled and didn’t care for the longer rods of the same brand and model. Also have a new to me Browning Airstream rod in 6’6” that I absolutely love. Very good on many different fronts. They deserve a look, they’re in the same price bracket. Mine outcasts most of my other rods in That size and style.
