I don’t store quarts cans so I use the same 50/50 but I use Sally Hanson’s hard as nails and acetone, both in the nail polish aisle at most any store.

I use Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails for my cementing. It lasts a looooongg time and it has never failed me yet.
I use Fly Tite. Doesn't stink or make you lightheaded like solvent based glue. Comes in 2 ounce bottles that last forever.
yes 50/50 is good, makes it soak in and dry very fast and also don't leave a hard spot on the chenille.
For thread neck jigs though I like a flexible glue that I also make, but usually just use Softex since it such a good product and is super tuff! I put it all around the thread on a finished jig and that thread is never coming off, lol!
