I started using 1/32 jigs last summer.
But i want it to sink faster.
So what's the thinnest/ best 2-4 lb fluorocarbon line.
Small reels so line memory is an issue.
Thanks

I have found most fluorocarbon brands have very similar line diameters. I have never used fluoro for crappie but I do for trout. My preference in the 2-4lb range is Seaguar InvizX or Sunline FC Sniper. Sunline FC Sniper has a 3lb line I absolutely love. This line has no memory. It handles like 2lb but gives the strength closer to 4lb. Given crappie are not "line sensitive" I recommend giving a look at PLine CX Premium. It a fluoro coated copolymer line. It has the same diameter as fluoro. The cost is a fraction of fluoro.
Here is probably the smallest diameter FC line you will find. The 2# test has a diameter of .117mm. The 4# test has a diameter of .165mm.

My personal favorite is K9 high-vis fluoro in 4#. They don't make a 2# but the 4 is .165mm and is very limp for fluoro. K9 Fishing Products LLC - Products
A good reasonable priced line is the McCoy mean green, It is a co-polymer. Also- very thin. .008 thickness.
Actually I found an FC 2# test much thinner. It is a Toray product at .104mm diameter. That’s pretty freaking thin. I’ve used Toray FC before....when I could still see clear lines.....it’s pretty soft.

Seeing the line is a real problem for us older folks. I was using 2# line, but could not see it.
Knots are harder to tie too.

This is why I use 2# test Fireline Crystal with a 4# test fluorocarbon leader. The leader is large enough in diameter for this old guy to tie a decent knot with, and the Crystal is quite visible. I've cast 1/32 oz. marabou jigs with this combo with no deficiency in distance, and the crappie don't mind the heavier diameter. JMO! :)
