I grew up in cumming GA and would make the trip with my dad all way to Oconee strictly for the crappie. That was 20 years ago and to this day it is still known as a phenomenal lake! It has grown a lot in retiree population so there is a lot more pleasure boaters. This lake has several places with timber stick-ups and stumps. Flats, hot holes from factories, everything you could ever want. And also below it lake Sinclair is good for crappie but Oconee is best BY FAR
