Just wandering where most of you Livescopers’ prefer to have your transducer mounted on the trolling motor or a separate pole? And what advantages or disadvantages one may have over the other?

Go to you tube and there is at least twenty very good videos on livescope transducer poles.
On trolling motor you might have to aim in a direction that you don't want in order to hold in wind. Turn it to see what you want and you lose boat control. Separate....look Where you want to and steer where you need. 1 inch pc fits nicely into 1.25. I got a t for 1 inch and glued it on end of 5 ft piece from lowes. Cut about a ft off other end. Then cut the ft into 2 pieces...a 4 inch and 8 to serve as handle. Cut about 18 inches off of 1.25.left enough for xducer. Ram mounts to attach

Check out my post
listed under "my homemade Panoptix mount.
You want it on a separate pole. You can't scan well with it on your trolling motor.
I use a pole mount from Fishing Specialties.
I tried it on TM but when using spot lock the pole is the wtg IMO.

This is my mount from Rickie at Podunk Ideas. It manages my Mega360(when it comes), myMega SI/DI transducer and Livescope. It folds back like a foot control trolling motor and is out of the way when I don’t need it in the water. WAttachment 364900Attachment 364901
