Sorry but the Garmin UHD on their high end units don't compare to HB Mega in detail or distance. The new low end Echomap 93sv plus units with UHD don't have the power or screen resolution to compete with HB.
Maybe Garmin can come up with something next time around.
But of course HB doesn't have Livescope!
Garmin has a black box to upgrade the 93 series, I am wondering if it is worth the price $400

I'm selling mine, I guess. I want PLS Livescope on my kayak, too, as I already have it and love it on the "big" boat, but I will get a newer head to run it on, and sell this one. I have HB Mega+ on the console of the "big" boat, and no Garmin Sv product has ever been able to come close to the detail of the 'bird SI. That is just a fact. I own both - the best of both.
