Up & down, up & down. A few days ago it was near 60 and some rain. The pond is now ice free and I even caught a small bass on a small soft plastic bait.

Today it will barely reach 20 degrees with a wind chill close to 15. Last night the wind was over 20 mph and anything not secured flew all over the place.

No doubt surface ice will be in the next photo I take. Can't wait to restock it in spring. All of the lakes and ponds near me are ice free and a buddy of mine has been catching gills from shore. What a year !!! Still better than looking at this from late last year (same pond):

January, dead of winter.
Yep, it was 78° day before yesterday and close to that yesterday but heading to the forties plus rain for the next few days. Perfect weather for my boat to be in the shop (smile).
