Glad all is safe! Those folks fish out of some big stable boats but that goes to show ya sometimes it’s just too ruff to be out their !
Wow.....glad they safe
I was riding east on 20 on my way to work and saw some of them boats launching about 5 am. I thought to myself oh my goodness. It also goes to show me safety in numbers and wear your PPE. Them boats are replaceable and most likely insured. Glad no casualties were suffered.

I took out on Martin at 10:30 two ft rollers. Two different guys come up in trucks with boats. Look at the waves and left. Never launched. At least 20 mph winds when I left
I simply won’t do it. Not only because of safety. I don’t have a huge boat and way before it gets unsafe it gets uncomfortable and miserable. I’m a captain ( more like a reserve captain) for my sons high school bass team. They won’t launch at 25 mph wind speed. I won’t at 20. Probably less in January. Darn a bunch of cold wind in a boat.
As big and flat as Wheeler and Guntersville are, they get rough quick on a breezy day and get dangerous quick on a windy day. Glad everyone was okay.
Yikes! Ya gotta know, when to say no!
