New Year/ New lake -- Sibley Lake

Went to Black Lake first light but the recent rains brought the water up and muddied it quite a bit, couldn't find nothing but a few little ones. I got a buddy that's been hitting 'em pretty good at Sibley Lake in Natchitoches, so I gave him a call and sure nuff he was out there ketchin! So I loaded up and meet him out there and ended up with a nice mess of 32 quality crappie. The funny thing is when I was trying to take a pic of my big fish she jumped right out of my hand and flopped back in the water! Oh well, got a picture of her anyway before I "released" her lol

I'm gonna be in Natchitoches this weekend....hmmmm....No, better stick to the shopping with wife plan so I can go next weekend without feeling guilty! lol. Oh and Mike, nothing wrong with releasing a big one here and there! Looks like you had fun!

I was thinking about fishing Cane River this weekend. Tell you what, while Angie is trying on some shoes while shopping on Front Street tell her you're gonna walk down to the river bank and get y'all some Natchitoches meat pies. I'll pick you up and you can get a few cast in and she won't even know your gone!
