Only thing I would have liked to see more of is setting up the electronics. The images I get under the docks do not resemble yours. I get long blocks that are solid and am not seeing under the blocks. Do I need to be farther from the docks maybe? I think I am driving about the same distance away from the docks that you are.

I really don't make many changes from the factory settings. I saw a YouTube video the other day that said the side imaging beam, after it leaves the transducer, first goes straight down to the bottom and then goes out to the side. Therefore, when deciding how far out to set your range, you need to consider the depth of the water you are in. My experience since seeing this video confirms it is accurate. So, for example, if you are sitting in 20 ft. of water and want to see 40 ft. out to the side, you need to set your range at 60 ft.Quote:

You just have to play with contrast and the other adjustments to get the best picture for the water you are in, but as I said, I usually don't have to adjust these much from the factory settings.
