Does anyone know if there are other differences between mega and mega plus other then the plus will allow you to search further. Is the image quality any better? Any comments would be appreciated

There is a low Q 2D transducer in the G3n Mega + units standard transducer which will improve 2D. The G2N units can use the low Q 2D transducer, but care has to be taken with unit settings to prevent possible damage.
SI and DI images may be more sharp .... even within the range of the G2n units .... due to the extra power in the + units, but I haven't seen any comparisons that prove that.
MEGA+ advertising documentation at the HB website says 20% more detail ...
I have yet to see a real world image where that could be absolutely verified ...

The new Mega 360 will not work on the Gen 2 Mega units if that is a consideration.
