Purple Martin gourds
Anybody need any good gourds? I haven't planted any since swapping to large plastic gourds around 10 years ago, but looks like I didn't forget how to grow them. This is about 1/2 of the large gourds that I grew. I'd guess I have 300 gourds 9"-12" in diameter. Probably 500 more that are smaller. $3 each for the larger ones, $2 each for the smaller ones. Sorry but NO shipping. It's too hard to find big boxes and costs you too much.

Just curious but are they for decoration or can you eat them? Kind of look like a butternut squash

No these are hard shell gourds. The reason I planted them is to use for birdhouses. Purple Martin gourd houses to be exact. Lots of ladies paint them to use as decorations. They're definitely not for eating.

They could be used for lots of things. I use to see the long handled dipper gourds around old wells for holding drinking water. I've also used some for storage bins. Heck they'd probably make a pretty good insulated minnow bucket.
