Rend

Spent four days at Rend weather limited fishing between wind and cold. Maybe fished ten hours total. Best fishing ever. Kept a 100 between four of us two people were new but numbers size and action were best I’ve experienced better then Florida trips I’ve been on

two small spots with brush gave up 95 percent of fish. Bridge fishing was bumper boats only spent a half hour at a bridge when no one was there and did ok

used predominately mid south tunes and jigs in bright colors. That box was most organized. Also got them in a large beaver bottom tail and jig with bait caster and they swallowed those baits too

not many throw backs I don’t know if that is sign of bad things to come

been fishing the lake since 2014 about twice a year. Used to get a dinks and very few keepers. Maybe I just got better at finding the right spots

sent an aqua view down in a the Christmas trees. Even though water was dirty and wind was strong I was able to see the fish tucked in deeper then you would put ornaments in a Christmas tree

I fish Rend 2-3 times a year and I must admit that the fishing has become better over
the last couple of years, with 2018 being the best for me. Our best baits have been
3/16 oz orange or pink jigheads with a LakeFork plastic bait in the jointed minnow in
chartreuse or black & chartreuse. Thanks for the great report!

Rend has been really good this year. I haven't caught any monsters but the overall size it up. Not may small ones to throw back. Hard to catch them under 10" in size.

I worry there will be shortage in future. My friend who didn’t know what a crappie pole was or an electric chicken got a 14” and 13.5” they were biting that good

I got out yesterday with my son. We hunted pheasant in the park in the morning and bagged 3 birds. Dog cut her side so had to stop hunting early and get her to the vet. After the dog was patched up we jumped in the boat and caught some crappie. We each got our 10 overs and had some nice conversations with the other fisherman at the community’s fishing hole.
