I don’t figure it will be good at all but I’m sure no expert on crappie

Wind could be a factor. If you can beat the wind somewhere in a cove or creek it could be OK. I'd do it just to enjoy the new kayak myself. Be careful and good luck.

I don't have a clue but I'm figuring this cold front will probably have a affect on them but I'm going to give it a try Saturday morning anyway I already got my minners ready.
