Monroe 10-14-19
got off a little later than I like, but was on the water for 7:30. The parking lot was all most full up. But did find a spot to park the trailer.
My normal area had a couple of boats working it so I headed out a little further and turned to the East. Put the rods out and before I was finished the first rod goes off. Fish on, skunk off. It's small so it goes back to fight another day.
thats when my odd rod out ( the one running a crank bait ) goes off. I think this one will most likely be the big on for the day. It goes in the box.
I keep moving east then make a turn to the south. Its been hit and miss this morning but I have been bending some rods. It's time to dig into the tackle bag to see what I haven't used in awhile. I find some bodies that Jake gave me, I put on one. It wasn't long before the rod goes off. I change a few more rods over to the new body.
I headed in around noon. It was getting hot and the bite slowed down. When I got to the ramp I had to wait for my turn. It was busy. I moved back out into the lake and waited.
