Troublesome catch
This is the second one I have caught recently. The first one was just a fatty growth and FWC says that it's not a problem unless I catch multiples, I now have and still no concern from them. Can someone please give me some insight into what is causing this? I am posting on the main forum instead of the Florida one in hopes of getting an answer. Attachment 357210Attachment 357211

Tumors.....I see them from time to time in several lakes I fish. TN posts fish advisory’s for any of our waters that have issues with chemicals. None of the lakes I fish have any advisory’s. I’ve seen this on fish from time to time for a lot of years. A TWRA biologist has told me it is just a fatty tumor.

Good to hear, Lake Rosalie where I live and fish is 1 of the few lakes that are still testing okay. Just getting nervous because of the runoff from the sod farm near the lake.
